The American Medical Student Association and the Student National Medical Association/Latino Medical Student Association will host a documentary screening of 13th today (Feb. 27) from 6 to 8 p.m. in School of Medicine, Room E301.
The 2017 Oscar-nominated film explores the 1865-ratified 13th amendment. The event also will feature a discussion on the school to prison pipeline and how prison time impacts short- and long-term health outcomes long after the sentence has been served.
This event is open to the community.
