Last month, the university announced the new Vacation Donation Bank program, which allows employees to contribute vacation days they don’t expect to use to a bank within their school or unit.
Ailing co-workers may then apply to receive up to 10 days as paid time off.
Employees cannot give more than 50 percent of their vacation time. The period to give days opens today (July 15) and will go through Aug. 15
