The Drowsy Chaperone at Eldred Theater

The next production at Eldred Theater will be The Drowsy Chaperone by Bob Martin, Don McKellar, Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison. Shows will be held Nov. 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 11 and 18 at 3 p.m. Keli Schimelpfenig will direct the show. Musical direction is by Mike Caraffi and Heidi Herczeg, and choreography is by Jessica Atwood. Purchase tickets.

Seeking a cure for a case of the “blues,” a middle-aged musical theater aficionado takes us along as he listens to a recording of his favorite guilty pleasure, The Drowsy Chaperone. This musical within a comedy pokes fun at the unselfconscious giddiness of musical theatre circa 1928.
