Canada retaliates with tariffs on US goods, Ohio businesses face uncertain impact

WKYC: Jonathan Ernest, assistant professor of economics at Weatherhead School of Management, noted that consumers shouldn’t expect prices to immediately rise by the full amount of the tariffs, but significant effects are likely. He said consumers may delay major purchases, while prolonged tariffs could reduce U.S.-Canada trade, hurt producers and consumers, and disrupt supply chains.
