Engineering graduate student receives SWE award

Zul Kazeem, a PhD student in the Department of Civil Engineering, received the Outstanding Graduate Student Member Award from the Society of Women Engineers in July 2026.

The award recognizes a graduate student member who has made outstanding contributions to the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), engineering societies, the community and their campus. It honors excellence in service to SWE, professional and academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.

A maximum of 10 recipients are selected annually. Kazeem was among the 2026 recipients representing Case Western Reserve University.
