Robert Gao, chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and the Cady Staley Professor, was selected for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Instrument & Measurement Society’s Best Application in Instrumentation and Measurement Award.
The award recognizes an individual whose idea applies measurement concepts or instrumentation technology in a novel way to benefit society. Gao was selected for developing a multivariate sensor for in-situ process monitoring of injection molding.
