CWRU researchers receive $486,000 grant for sickle cell work
The Plain Dealer: A research team led by Umut Gurkan, assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, received $486,000 from the Doris Duke Foundation to continue its work on sickle cell disease. The team is working to help predict acute crises and monitor the effectiveness of treatments.
