Explore the updated Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship
STORY BY: EDITORIAL STAFF
The Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship has relaunched for fall semester with a completely reimagined experience in the redesigned Kelvin Smith Library. Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to explore the refreshed physical space on the library’s first floor, as well as an updated digital hub on the library’s website.
Faculty, staff and students now have access to:
- High-performance Windows desktops;
- Cutting-edge research software, including tools for generative AI and large language models;
- 24/5 lab access during the academic year; and
- Virtual and hybrid workshops and self-guided online tutorials to help users build skills and explore tools.
Through a partnership with [U]Tech, researchers can log in with their CWRU network ID to access secure, customizable profiles across sessions. Support for digital projects also has grown to include walk-in assistance during staffed hours and online scheduling for consultations with digital scholarship specialists.
