Face off in Battle of the Bands to become opening act for Springfest headliner

Submissions for Springfest 2014: Battle of the Bands, held Feb. 27, will be accepted through Sunday, Feb. 17. The winners of the competition will open for the headliner at Springfest April 26. To be considered for the competition, bands must meet the following requirements:

• At least one member must be an undergraduate student at Case Western Reserve University.
• The band must be available to play at the Battle of the Bands Feb. 27.
• If chosen, the band must be available to play at Springfest April 26.

To enter, bands must submit the following items to springbotb@case.edu:

• a full listing of band members
• a band biography (approximately 150 words)
• a picture of the band
• two full songs, submitted in video format (videos do not need to be professionally made).

The Battle of the Bands will be held this year on Thursday, Feb. 27, in The Spot at 9 p.m. The first 250 guests to arrive will be given a pair of free Springfest headphones and there will be free wings for all.
