In honor of Human Rights Day, the CWRU Science and Human Rights Coalition will host a screening and discussion on Blue Gold: World Water Wars Saturday, Dec. 10, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in Kent Hale Smith Building, Room 119.
Blue Gold: World Water Wars is an award-winning documentary that addresses issues associated with the privatization and commoditization of water. The film is based on the book, Blue Gold: The Fight to Stop the Corporate Theft of the World's Water, by Maude Barlow and Tony Clarke.
After the film screening, there will be a discussion on the scientific and political challenges facing the water supply.
The event is free and open to the community.
