The Case Western Reserve University Green Dot program offers multiple ways to get the university community involved in meeting the goal of preventing power-based personal violence, including sexual assault, intimate partner/domestic partner violence, stalking and harassment.
Green Dot is a national bystander intervention strategy to prevent power-based personal violence. It empowers participants to make observations, draw conclusions and take safe actions toward intervention in uncertain situations. Case Western Reserve University is becoming a Green Dot campus.
Green Dot organizers want to get the community involved through bystander intervention.
Faculty and staff can participate in upcoming overview sessions scheduled through May. Organizers hope to have 15 percent of faculty and staff participate in an overview session before the start of the fall semester, when Green Dot will begin offering bystander intervention workshops for students.
