Get to know the Class of 2030 by the numbers—and see photos of their first days on campus
Each member of Case Western Reserve University’s Class of 2030 brings their unique experiences and perspectives to campus, but they also have plenty in common with their peers—from where they come from to how they were involved in their high schools and communities.
Last week, they went on a deep dive into what resources and opportunities CWRU offers.
This week, they begin their academic journeys, launching into their futures. While we are eager to see what they will accomplish at CWRU and beyond, we wanted to take a moment to learn more about them.

- More than 41,000 applications resulted in nearly 1,600 new students
- 10% have a family member who attended Case Western Reserve
- 12% are the first in their family to attend college

- 80% volunteered in their communities
- 61% played a sport
- 51% were involved in the arts
- 22% were members of student government
- 48% worked part-time jobs or cared for a family member at home
- 51% participated in a STEM-based activity
