Learning history from those who made it basis for new book about freeway fight Cleveland Heights Patch: A project by former graduate student Dave Harris and neurology professor Peter Whitehouse turned into an 80-page book, The Legacy of Clark Freeway Fighters. The book tells the story of the east side freeway project that would have destroyed the parks around Shaker Lakes and dozens of homes. It compiles interviews with community members as well as photographs and student drawings.
