Over the first weekend in August (Aug. 1–2), CWRU will host the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps from Concord, California — the winningest organization in the history of Drum Corps International (DCI), essentially the major league of marching music.

If you're not familiar with drum corps, think of it as a fusion of percussion, brass, and color guard performing at an elite competitive level. Watch a video of this season’s drumline.

Watch a video of a full performance to get a sense of the spectacle.

The group will be housing and rehearsing on campus all weekend after traveling overnight from a competition in Allentown. View the rehearsal schedule.

The Blue Devils are rehearsing at CWRU in preparation for Innovations in Brass, a DCI competition at Akron's InfoCision Stadium on the evening of Aug. 3.
