Join the Martha C. Nussbaum Study Circle
The Banglar Pathshala Foundation, a non-profit educational institution in Dhaka, Bangladesh, will hold a several month long study circle on the renowned philosopher Martha C. Nussbaum's philosophy. The modality is hybrid, mainly on late Saturday mornings Eastern time. Jeremy Bendik-Keymer of the Department of Philosophy will lead off the study circle on Saturday morning, Sep. 12th, after the opening ceremony and discussion on Friday, Sep. 4th. The international study guides for the session include Philip Kitcher of Columbia University, Eva Kittay of Stony Brook University, Elaine Unterhalter of University College London, and Harry Brighouse of University of Wisconsin Madison, among many others. The event is free and open to interested readers and scholars. It is optional to support the organization's overhead through a small donation.
