Junior named 2017 Goldwater Scholar

Benjamin Kuznets-Speck, a junior mathematics and physics major, was one of 240 undergraduates across the country named a 2017 Goldwater Scholar. The scholarships are granted based on merit to students in natural sciences, mathematics and engineering. Kuznets-Speck will receive up to $7,500 to cover tuition, fees, books and room and board. Additionally, Nathaniel Starkman, a junior studying physics and mathematics, was one student of 307 named an honorable mention.
