Law professor Jessie Hill presents at recent events on variety of topics

Jessie Hill, professor of law, associate dean for faculty development and research, and Laura B. Chisolm Distinguished Research Scholar, recently gave a number of presentations. Recent talks include:

• “The Affordable Care Act and the Politics of Reproductive Health Care” at The ACA and Beyond: The Ethics and Future of Health Reform, sponsored by the University of Missouri Center for Health Ethics and the University of Missouri Center for Health Policy;
• "When Does Free Exercise of Religion Become Forced Exercise of Religion? The Constitutional Implications of Accommodating Religious Employers" at the Church of the Covenant in Cleveland, as part of the Adult Education Series;
• "Fighting Back in Times of Turmoil" at the Cleveland Regional Meeting of the National Abortion Federation;
• "Sports, Sexual Misconduct, and Single-Sex Schools: Title IX and the State of Gender Equality in Education" at a salon sponsored by the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women;
• "Reproductive Rights: An Examination of Pending Litigation Challenging Abortion Laws" at the City Club of Cleveland on a panel sponsored by the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the American Constitutional Society; and
• a debate with Cato Institute’s Ilya Shapiro on the Hobby Lobby case at a law school event co-sponsored by the Federalist Society and Law Students for Reproductive Justice.

She also has an article, “The Associate Dean for Research in the Age of the Internet,” forthcoming in a special symposium issue of Touro Law Review on associate deans.
