United Press International: Atiba Ellis, the Laura B. Chisholm Distinguished Research Scholar and professor of law, said the Supreme Court’s reexamination of Louisiana’s redistricting case signals a push to “reconcile” competing doctrines on race and representation. He warned the court may further restrict or even abolish race-conscious remedies in elections, reshaping how the Voting Rights Act is enforced.
