Shanker Professor of Law and the associate dean for enrichment and engagement at the School of Law, warned that the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision dismantling the Voting Rights Act could worsen partisan gerrymandering and significantly distort U.S. politics by weakening representation for communities of color, potentially silencing their voices even as the nation becomes more diverse.
