Temporary restraining order against IT expert prompts ethical questions
Spectrum News: Cassandra Burke Robertson, the John Deaver Drinko - BakerHostetler Professor of Law, discussed a judge’s decision to grant a temporary restraining order against David Ross—alias Connor Goodwolf—who claims to have accessed hacked data from the City of Columbus. The city fears data release, while Goodwolf aims to inform residents. Robertson said the order raises ethical concerns about privacy and data use. “Finding the information, I don't think crossed any line,” she said. “Publicizing the information goes a little bit further, and that's where I think you're going to see some arguments on both sides.”
