U.S. Supreme Court just gave federal agencies a big reason to worry

Reuters: Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law and director of the Coleman P. Burke Center for Environmental Law, said that SEC’s proposed rule to require climate-related disclosures from public companies is vulnerable under the major questions doctrine, established by the Supreme Court in its ruling against the EPA in the federal regulatory agency’s effort to combat climate change.
