Jonathan Adler, the Johan Verheij Memorial Professor of Law, recently published “Climate Balkanization: Dormant Commerce and the Limits of State Energy Policy” in the Louisiana State University Journal of Energy Law and Resources as well as “The Halbig Cases: Desperately Seeking Ambiguity in Clear Statutory Text” in the Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law.
In addition, he’s served as a speaker or panelist at a number of recent events. Adler:
- discussed King v. Burwellon a panel with Professor Abbe Gluck and Linda Greenhouse at Yale Law School on Nov. 11;
- spoke on a panel—“Without Standing Are We All Sitting Ducks?”—at the Federalist Society’s National Lawyers’ Convention in Washington, D.C., Nov. 15;
- spoke on King v. Burwellbefore the Pittsburgh Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society Nov. 19;
- guest lectured to a class at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics on the history of King v. Burwell 2;
- spoke on “The Implementation of Obamacare and Death of the Rule of Law,” at the Cato Institute Policy Perspectives 2014 conference in Chicago Dec. 3; and
- lectured on environmental law and economics at conferences for law professors and judges, sponsored by the George Mason University Law and Economics Center, in Duck Key, Fla., Dec. 7-14.
