Experts, community ponder T.J. Lane's courtroom antics The Morning Journal: During a hearing, T.J. Lane took off his dress shirt to reveal a T-shirt with the word “killer” written on it, among taking other vulgar actions. Many are questioning why Lane was not handcuffed. “There was probably some indication that things were going to be a little bit strange once he took his dress shirt off, which the judge apparently could not see,” said law professor Jonathan Entin. “But you don’t shackle somebody unless you think the person poses a danger.”
