Brennan Professor Emeritus of Law, weighed in on the perception that the U.S. Supreme Court has become increasingly political, impacting major issues. “Democrat presidents tended to appoint Democrats and Republican presidents tended to appoint Republicans,” he said. “What's changed is that the parties themselves have become more polarized.”
