Why Hunter Biden's Wednesday plea could accelerate new criminal investigation
Washington ExaminerMichael Benza, professor of practice at the School of Law, said the reality of the criminal justice system is that judges “almost always” accept plea agreements—which is also true in the case of the president’s son, Hunter Biden, who pleaded guilty to charges of two misdemeanor tax offenses. "This is not an unusual resolution of this type of a case, nor is the outcome of the case, the recommendations regarding sentencing, and probation and diversion," Benza said.
