Law's Michael Scharf sounds off on Congo rebel leader's acquittal

Congo rebel leader acquitted on war crimes charges Los Angeles Times: The International Criminal Court acquitted Mathieu Ngudjolo, a rebel leader accused of leading an attack on a Congolese village almost a decade ago. “Congo has been spiraling into violence. Rebel groups have been gaining strength. In the middle of all that, this sends a dangerous signal,” said Michael Scharf, associate dean for global legal studies. But “they put all their eggs in one basket and it turned out they didn’t have enough evidence.”
