Law's Sharona Hoffman weights in on controversial idea of requiring competency testing for politicians over 75 years old

Should workers of a certain age be required to undergo competency testing?
Spectrum News: Sharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center, weighed in on a controversial idea in politics: requiring mandatory competency testing for politicians over the age of 75. “I think if you’re requiring people to undergo burdensome testing just because they have reached a particular age when they have not had job performance problems, that could violate the law,” she said.
