Learn about new publishing agreement with American Chemical Society

Authors affiliated with Case Western Reserve University are now able to publish open access journal articles in American Chemical Society’s (ACS) hybrid journals at no cost, with no yearly limits. Negotiated through OhioLINK, this deal covers articles accepted for publication now through Dec. 31 in any of ACS’s hybrid journals.

Access ACS journal information summary for librarians.

To receive this open access publication fee waiver, corresponding authors should be affiliated with CWRU at acceptance and publish an original research and review article in an eligible journal. Once accepted, authors will be offered the option automatically by ACS and will be able to publish their article under a CC-BY 4.0 license.

Authors who have their articles accepted with an eligible journal published by ACS will be given the option to opt-out of open access publishing. If the corresponding author chooses not to publish their article as open access, their article will be published under a subscription model behind a paywall and their copyright will transfer to ACS.
