The Health Improvement Partnership for Cuyahoga County will release its first-ever Community Health Improvement Plan at a kickoff event on Thursday, June 11, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Ariel International Center (1163 E. 40th St.).
Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has been a key partner in the countywide initiative, and many faculty members were instrumental in creating the plan, which is a comprehensive report that identifies and addresses significant health priorities in Cuyahoga County.
The Steering Committee for the partnership included four Case Western Reserve faculty members:
- Elaine Borawski, the Angela Bowen Williamson Professor in Community Nutrition;
- Heidi Gullett, assistant professor in the School of Medicine;
- Erika Trapl, associate director of the Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods and assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics; and
- Scott Frank, director of the Master of Public Health program and associate professor of epidemiology and biostatistics and family medicine.
