Can Amazon really rename a neighborhood?
City Lab: Amazon recently announced its HQ2 would partially be based in Northern Virginia’s Crystal City, rebranding it National Landing. Claudia Coulton, Distinguished University Professor, the Lillian F. Harris Professor of Urban Research & Social Change, and the founding director of the Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development, weighed in on the nature of renaming a neighborhood.
