PharmDs ‘have done more with less’ during COVID-19
Healio: Amy Hirsch Shumaker, senior clinical instructor at the School of Medicine, discussed the impact of infectious disease pharmacists on in-patient and out-patient settings. Shumaker said pharmacists played a key role when COVID-19 vaccines were authorized by preparing vaccines, which “really helped accelerate the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines, helping to keep patients alive and out of the hospital.”
