‘Broken heart syndrome’ increased during COVID-19

HealioAnkur Kalra, an assistant professor at the School of Medicine, said that the incidence of stress cardiomyopathy—also known as broken heart syndrome—has increased in patients with ACS during the COVID-19 pandemic compared with before the pandemic.
