Cognitive impairment among heart failure patients: How cardiologists can help

Gorodeski, professor of medicine at the School of Medicine, commented on the fact that the cognitive impairment rate among some subsets of heart failure patients could be as high as 78%, which can affect patients’ learning and memory skills, their ability to communicate and much more. “We as clinicians must invest the extra effort to identify it, and then adjust management accordingly,” she said.
