SELF: Emad Estemalik, clinical assistant professor at the School of Medicine, said that ditching bright overhead lights can help curb migraine headaches. Additionally, Estemalik said that periodic breaks from screens—like phones and tablets—give your eyes time to rest. “If you’ve been in a Zoom meeting for an hour, and then you have a break, don’t go to your phone to read unnecessary stuff,” he says. “Just stand up and walk and maybe do other things.”
