Non-profit helps inspire new generation of scientists

Spectrum News: Marissa Scavuzzo, assistant professor at the School of Medicine, said there’s a “glass floor” in science careers, making access difficult for lower-income students. Through Rise Up: Northeast Ohio, she brings scientists into CMSD classrooms, empowering students to pursue their curiosity, conduct real experiments and see themselves as future STEM professionals.
