Cleveland researcher gets closer to new restorative treatment for multiple sclerosis
The Land: Paul Tesar, the director of the Institute for Glial Sciences and the Dr. Donald and Ruth Weber Goodman Professor of Innovative Therapeutics at the School of Medicine, said he and his team are developing a potential multiple sclerosis treatment that restores myelin in mice. Tesar emphasized the therapy’s promise for remyelination, potential applications for other autoimmune diseases, and the importance of continued U.S. investment in science to advance both medicine and Cleveland’s economy.
