Mental Health First Aid training
This fall, University Health and Counseling Services will begin offering Mental Health First Aid: an evidence-based training program led by certified trainers from CWRU. Mental Health First Aid prepares participants to recognize warning signs of mental health challenges, offer compassionate initial support and guide individuals toward appropriate campus or community resources. The curriculum covers common conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and substance use, and emphasizes non‑judgmental listening, risk awareness and referral steps.
Please note that this training will be hosted over two days (Nov. 18 and 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, in-person) with full participation expected on both days.
