MOD/MPOD reunion highlights, launch of MLOC
Story by: Editorial Staff
More than 100 alumni recently returned to CWRU for a multi-day reunion celebrating 50 years of the Master of Organizational Development (MOD)/Master of Positive Organizational Development (MPOD) programs.
The celebration, where alumni, new Master of Leadership and Organizational Change (MLOC) students, faculty and staff gathered, was framed not just as a professional gathering, but as a "welcome home”—an opportunity for personal renewal, rekindling relationships and igniting a shared purpose for the future. The energy created was a spark for the next generation of leaders.
During the three-day gathering participants heard from Dean Andrew Medvedev, Program Director Frank Barrett and many faculty members past and present. Conversations focused on the rich origin of the program and discussed some of the current challenges facing business and industry today.
Alumni shared incredible stories in a round of Pechakucha “lightning talks.” One story shared a personal story of jumping from a plane to face personal fears. Another participant challenged the Alps and Pyrenees on bicycle following the tour de France route to renewal. There was a “Choose Your Own Adventure” that included an opportunity to learn how to publish books and articles, how to start a business, and the use of AI in your life and work. The celebration also focused on dreaming and designing meaningful alumni engagement moving forward through AI inspired discussions.
