Chaste ascetic? A letter details Mahler’s love life
The New York Times: Stephen Hefling, professor of musicology, talked about a recently discovered letter written about the love life of Austrian composer and conductor Gustav Mahler. “The letter is a fairly complete account of love affairs with quite a number of people,” said Hefling, who hopes to publish the document.
