Nursing school researchers find pets helpful to women with HIV/AIDS

Pets a big help to women with HIV/AIDS UPI: Research led by nursing instructor Allison R. Webel and professor Patricia Higgins found that having pets was helpful for women living with HIV/AIDS in managing their illness. “Pets—primarily dogs—gave these women a sense of support and pleasure," Webel said.
