The Laura and Alvin Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will host an open discussion about the issues facing K-12 education this year and beyond. “Ohio's school report cards—What do they really tell us? What should they?: A discussion about how we evaluate our schools” will take place Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cleveland Heights High School (13263 Cedar Road, Cleveland Heights).
Patrick O’Donnell, education reporter for The Plain Dealer, will moderate a discussion between the following panelists:
- Chad Aldis, vice president for Ohio policy and advocacy at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute;
- Talisa Dixon, superintendent of Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District;
- Steven Dyer, education policy fellow at Innovation Ohio; and
- Lisa Woods, member Ohio Board of Education (Medina area).
