Does celebrity influence impact voters? Cleveland 19 News: Justin Buchler, associate professor of political science, weighed in on whether celebrity endorsements impact the election. "I don't think that celebrities play an important part in electoral politics," he said. "It's important to keep in mind that somewhere between 80 and 90 percent of all votes in a presidential election are just voters who are partisans voting their party identification, which means you only have about 10 to 20 percent of the electorate left."
