Power of Diversity Lecture Series—“‘Why Does this Class Spend So Much Time on Race?’ My Answer”

The fall 2018 Power of Diversity Lecture Series, sponsored by the Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity, will continue with a talk by Jonathan Sadowsky, the Theodore J. Castele Professor of Medical History. Sadowsky will present “‘Why Does this Class Spend So Much Time on Race?’ My Answer” Monday, Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Senior Classroom.

About the series

The Power of Diversity Series’ fall lineup is composed of three talks by Case Western Reserve University professors and a headline event with diversity leadership and organizational change expert Damon A. Williams. Williams’ lecture, “From Awareness, to Action, to Innovation: Empowering Leaders through Inclusive Excellence,” will be held Monday, Oct. 29, at 4:30 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom C. Cynthia Beall, Distinguished University Professor and the S. Idelle Pyle Professor of Anthropology, and Shannon French, director of the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence and the Inamori Professor in Ethics, also presented in this fall’s series.
