The Joint Program of the Case Western Reserve University Department of Art History and Art and the Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) is soliciting applications for a specially funded Mellon graduate seminar course for the 2022-23 academic year. The course will be a cross-disciplinary, object-based seminar that prioritizes the CMA collection as primary course material.
The call is open to all CWRU faculty, including adjunct faculty from the CMA. The goal of the Mellon-funded course is to encourage students to understand the importance of art beyond the scope traditionally considered in art history. The Joint Program seeks applicants with non-traditional points of view to provide students with a critical perspective for humanities leaders of the future.
