Provost and Executive Vice President Ben Vinson III penned a piece on the perceived newness of Black history studies. Titled “The perpetual newness of Black history,” the piece appeared on the Perspectives on History website.
Vinson explained the challenges and concerns with the field’s perception as being emerging.
