As part of the Distinguished Speaker Presentation, Lawrence W. Green, adjunct professor in Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California at San Francisco, will give a talk titled “Accelerating the Implementation of Evidence: If We Want More Evidence-Based Practice, We Need More Practice-Based Evidence."
Green is internationally known for his Precede-Proceed Model, which is used worldwide to guide health intervention design, implementation and evaluation, leading to more than 1,000 published studies, applications and commentaries.
He also is the first director of the U.S. Office of Health Information and Health Promotion and is a Distinguished Fellow in the Society of Behavioral Medicine, American Academy of Health Behavior and Society for Public Health Education.
The event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 16, from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Wolstein Research Building, Room 1413.
Lunch will be provided for the first 50 attendees.
