Research by Ophthalmology’s Jonathan Lass selected as Clinical Trial of the Year
Jonathan Lass, MD, the Charles I Thomas Professor and Vice Chair for Academic Affairs at the Case Western Reserve University Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, was a member of the research team behind a study that earned recognition as as Clinical Trial of the Year by JAMA Ophthalmology.
The publication, titled “Donor Diabetes and 1-Year Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty Success Rate,” was named an Editor's Choice: Clinical Trial of 2025, in recognition of its significant interest, impact and innovation. This selection coincides with the launch of JAMA+ Trials, a new JAMA Network platform dedicated to clinical trial research.
