The Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education’s Daniel J. Flannery and Mark I. Singer collaborated with Mike Walker, director of Partnership for a Safer Cleveland, and Case Western Reserve University PhD candidate Liuhong Yang to write Cleveland, Ohio: A Community Law Enforcement Partnership for Sustainable Neighborhood Change. Their article was published by Springer to be featured in the book Innovations in Community-Based Crime Prevention: Stories from the Field.

The article detailed the implementation and results of a Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation program that took place in a local neighborhood from 2014 to 2017. The authors discussed methods used during the intervention and describe the data-based results of the intervention.
