'The Avengers' sets weekend record. Is there a message for the industry?
The Christian Science Monitor: The Avengers (filmed right here in Cleveland) opened overseas first and garnered $441 million abroad. Its success has many wondering if such good-vs.-evil story lines will be just as successful, but SAGES Fellow Bradley Ricca said “the real message of ‘The Avengers’ to foreign audiences is really anything but simple.”
