After 50 years of isolation due to policies of a military government and international sanctions, Myanmar is now opening up to the world.
Nway Nay Hlaing, head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Myanmar’s Yangon Technological University, will discuss how these changes have affected universities in the country during the next ACES+ Distinguished Lecture, “Myanmar Opens Up.” Her talk will be held Friday, Oct. 24, at noon at the A.W. Smith Building, room 104.
